Who Qualifies for an
Air Source Heat Pump Grant?
Eligibility for the Air Source Heat Pump Grant is based on several key factors.

1. Property Requirements
To qualify, your property must meet the following conditions:
- A valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) must be available.
- The property should be suitable for an air source heat pump installation, which typically includes having good insulation (loft and cavity wall insulation are often required) and adequate space for the external heat pump unit.
- The property must be located in an area where there are no restrictions for the installation of a heat pump.
2. Household Income & Benefits
Eligibility is also determined by household income and receipt of government benefits. Households may qualify if they receive any of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit (UC)
- Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit)
- Pension Credit (Savings Credit)
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA)
