Homeowners who are not receiving government benefits can still qualify for insulation grants under certain conditions. This group is considered part of the medium-income category. To be eligible, the applicant must own their home, and the property should be located within Council Tax Bands A to D in England, or A to E in Scotland and Wales. Additionally, the home must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of below D to meet the qualification criteria.
Homeowners who are receiving benefits may qualify for insulation grants if at least one member of the household is on a qualifying benefit such as income-based benefits or pension credits. In addition to this, the property must have a valid (EPC) rating of below D. Meeting these criteria ensures that households with lower energy efficiency can access the necessary support to improve their home's insulation, reduce energy bills, and contribute to a greener environment.
